Audio Converter
Convert an audio file from one format to another — for example turning a WAV recording into a smaller MP3 for easier sharing. Conversion runs locally using your browser's own audio engine.
Your audio file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Only use this tool with files you own or have the right to process.

You can select more than one file (MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG)
What this tool does
Converts audio files between common formats by re-encoding into the format you choose. Several files can be converted at once.
When to use it
- A file in a format a particular device or program will not play.
- A platform that accepts only one audio format.
- You want uncompressed WAV for editing, or MP3 for sharing.
- Normalising a mixed audio library to one format.
How to use it
- Put your audio files on the drop area or choose them.
- Choose the "Output format".
- Download the files individually or with "Download all as ZIP".
A practical example
Input
Five M4A files converted to MP3.
Output
Five MP3 files with the same content, playable in a wider range of players.
Limitations
- Re-encoding a lossy file into another lossy format compounds the loss already in it.
- Converting to WAV greatly increases the size because it is uncompressed, and it cannot restore quality that was already lost.
- File metadata may not carry across between formats in full.
- The file limit is 300 MB.
Privacy and processing
Each file is decoded and re-encoded on your device; none is uploaded to our servers.
Technical notes
- Conversion runs locally through FFmpeg.wasm, with batch runs kept sequential to bound memory use.
