Audio Speed Changer
Set a custom playback speed to make audio play faster or slower, with pitch correction so voices don't sound artificially high or low, then download the result — processed entirely in your browser.

What this tool does
Speeds an audio file up or slows it down while keeping its pitch, so speech does not turn squeaky or booming.
When to use it
- A lecture or audiobook you want to get through faster.
- A fast recording you want slowed down to transcribe.
- An interview recording you want to review quickly.
How to use it
- Put an audio file on the drop area or choose it.
- Choose the "Playback speed" — the button stays disabled at 1× because that would change nothing.
- Click "Apply speed", then "Download file".
A practical example
Input
A two-hour audiobook at 1.25× speed.
Output
A roughly 96-minute file whose voice stays at its natural pitch rather than sounding high.
Limitations
- Past a certain point the words stop being intelligible no matter how well the pitch holds up.
- Extreme slow-downs can introduce slight artefacts in the sound.
- The speed applies to the whole file.
- To change the pitch itself rather than the speed, use the Audio Pitch Changer.
Privacy and processing
The tempo change is computed on your device and the file is never uploaded.
Technical notes
- The speed change separates tempo from pitch, which is what keeps the voice sounding natural unlike simply playing a recording faster.
