Rotate PDF Pages
Fix pages that were scanned sideways or upside down by rotating individual pages or the whole document, then download the corrected PDF. Everything happens locally in your browser — no file size limits imposed by a server.
Your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

What this tool does
Rotates PDF pages by an angle you choose. You click the pages you want in the preview, or rotate every page at once. The angle is added on top of each page's existing rotation rather than replacing it.
When to use it
- A scan produced some pages sideways or upside down.
- A document contains wide tables captured in landscape and you want one consistent orientation.
- A single page in a long document faces the wrong way and the rest must stay untouched.
How to use it
- Drag a PDF onto the drop area or choose it.
- Wait for the page previews to appear.
- Click the pages you want rotated, or turn on "Rotate all pages".
- Pick the rotation angle, then click "Rotate pages and download".
A practical example
Input
A 10-page document where only page 4 is upside down; you select it and choose 180°.
Output
The same 10 pages with page 4 now upright and every other page unchanged.
If a page was already rotated 90° and you add another 90°, it ends at 180° — the angle accumulates on what is already there rather than resetting it.
Limitations
- You must select at least one page, or choose to rotate all of them; otherwise a message says so.
- Rotation changes how the page is displayed. It does not crop the content or reflow anything inside the page.
- Password-protected files need to be unlocked first.
Privacy and processing
Rotation happens inside your browser by rebuilding the file locally; nothing is uploaded.
Technical notes
- Each page's current rotation is read with pdf-lib's `getRotation()` and the new angle is added to it, rather than assuming every page starts at zero.
- Rotation is a property in the page's data, not a redraw of its contents, so no quality is lost.
