Sign PDF
Draw your signature with your mouse or finger, or upload an image of one, then drag it into position on any page and save a signed copy of the PDF. This adds a visible signature only — it does not create a certified digital signature — and everything happens locally in your browser.
Your file and signature are processed on your device only — neither is ever uploaded to our servers.
This tool only adds a visible signature to the file; it does not create a certified digital signature.

What this tool does
Places an image of your signature at a position you pick on a page of a PDF. You page through the document visually, click where you want it, and the signature is baked into that spot in the resulting file.
When to use it
- A contract or form needs signing and you would rather not print, sign and scan it again.
- You have several documents to sign quickly with the same signature image.
- You need the signature in one precise spot rather than wherever a tool decides to put it.
How to use it
- Drag a PDF onto the drop area or choose it; a page preview and the page count appear.
- Upload your signature image — a PNG with a transparent background works best, because it blends into the page with no white box around it.
- Page through the document until you reach the page you need.
- Click the spot where the signature should go to place it there, then download the signed file.
A practical example
Input
A 6-page contract, a transparent PNG signature, and a click at the bottom right of the last page.
Output
A copy of the contract with the signature baked into exactly that position on page 6.
Limitations
- This is a visible signature drawn onto the page, not a certificate-backed digital signature. The result carries no cryptographic proof of who signed it or that the file was not altered afterwards.
- Nothing here asserts that such a signature will be accepted — that depends on the recipient and on the law where you are.
- A signature image with a white background will sit in a white box that covers whatever is under it; use a transparent PNG to avoid that.
- Password-protected files need to be unlocked first.
Privacy and processing
Both the document and your signature image stay on your device; the merge happens in the browser and neither is uploaded.
Technical notes
- The signature image is embedded into the page with pdf-lib at the coordinates you clicked.
- The document's other pages are carried across unchanged, so their text and quality are unaffected.
