What this tool does
Trims the edges of a PDF's pages by an amount you set for each side — top, right, bottom and left — in points. The trimmed area disappears and the page size shrinks by that much.
When to use it
- A scan has black edges or excess white space around the content.
- Pages carry a header or footer band you want gone visually before sharing.
- A file was exported with enormous margins that waste space on a small screen.
How to use it
- Put a PDF on the drop area or choose it.
- Enter how much to crop from each of the four sides, in points; leave a side at zero to keep it as is.
- Click "Crop pages and download file".
A practical example
Input
A document with a wide white margin, cropped 36 pt from top and bottom and 24 pt from each side.
Output
The same document with every page half an inch shorter top and bottom and a third of an inch narrower, the content still at its original size.
Limitations
- The same crop values apply to every page; a per-page crop is not offered.
- Cropping hides content in the trimmed area without deleting it from the file's data — cropped text can still be recoverable with specialist software, so do not rely on it to conceal sensitive information. Use the Redact PDF tool for that.
- An aggressive crop can swallow real content, since the tool does not check whether anything sits in the area being removed.

Technical notes
- The unit is the standard PDF point: 72 points = 1 inch, so 36 points is about half an inch, or 12.7 mm.
