PDF N-Up Layout
Arrange several source pages onto one output sheet in a grid layout, ideal for printing handouts or booklets with less paper. Each source page keeps its own aspect ratio and is scaled down to fit its cell — done entirely in your browser.

What this tool does
Places several of a PDF's pages onto a single sheet in a tidy grid — two, four or more per sheet — scaled down to fit with a gap between them.
When to use it
- You want to print a long document on less paper and save ink.
- A slide deck needs printing as a handout with several slides per page.
- You want an overview of a document for visual review rather than paging through it.
How to use it
- Put a PDF on the drop area or choose it.
- Choose "Pages per sheet".
- Click "Combine and download file".
A practical example
Input
A 16-page document at four pages per sheet.
Output
A 4-sheet PDF, each sheet holding four scaled-down pages in a 2×2 grid with a small gap between them.
Limitations
- Scaling pages down scales the text down too; a document already set in small type can become unreadable at four pages per sheet.
- The grid is derived automatically from the number you choose; the column and row counts are not separately adjustable.
- Links and form fields inside the scaled-down pages do not stay interactive in the result.
Privacy and processing
The combining happens inside your browser and the file is never uploaded.
Technical notes
- Each page is embedded as a scaled page object inside the new sheet via pdf-lib, so text stays text rather than becoming an image.
- A fixed gap is left between pages in the grid so their edges never touch.
