PDF Merger

Add two or more PDF files, drag them into the order you want, and merge them into a single PDF — done entirely in your browser. Useful for combining scanned pages, reports, or chapters into one document without any desktop software.

PDF Tools Runs entirely in your browser

Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

You can add more than one file, up to a reasonable limit for browser performance

What this tool does

Combines several PDFs into a single document, in the order you choose. Each file's pages are copied across as they are, so text, images and links inside every page survive untouched and nothing is re-encoded.

When to use it

  • A contract or report arrived as one file per section and you need to hand it over as a single document.
  • You scanned something in batches and each batch landed in its own file.
  • You want to collect invoices or monthly statements into one archive file.
  • You need an order other than alphabetical-by-filename — this tool lets you position each file by hand.

How to use it

  1. Drag your PDFs onto the drop area or pick them from your device; anything that is not a PDF is ignored, with a notice saying so.
  2. Use "Move up" and "Move down" until the list matches the order you want in the final document.
  3. Use "Remove file" to drop anything you added by mistake.
  4. Click "Merge files" — the combined document is built and downloaded automatically.

A practical example

Input

Three files: cover.pdf (1 page), contract.pdf (12 pages), annexes.pdf (5 pages).

Output

One 18-page PDF in exactly that order: cover, then contract, then annexes.

Limitations

  • The merge button stays disabled until you have added at least two files — merging one file would do nothing.
  • Page order within each file is unchanged; to reorder the pages themselves, use the Reorder PDF Pages tool.
  • Interactive form fields may stop being fillable after a merge, because several forms in one document can end up with clashing field names.
  • Password-protected files need to be unlocked first.
  • How many files you can merge is bound in practice by browser memory, since they are all opened in memory before merging.

Privacy and processing

The merge happens entirely inside your browser. None of your files are uploaded to us or to anyone else, and the merged document is generated on your device and saved straight to your downloads.

Technical notes

  • Pages are copied with pdf-lib, meaning each page's content is transferred as-is with no redrawing or recompression.
  • Every page keeps its original dimensions, so a mix of A4 and Letter sources produces a document containing both sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can add as many files as your device's memory comfortably allows — there's no artificial server-side limit.
