Favicon Generator

Upload a square logo or icon image and generate every standard favicon size a website needs — ready to download and drop into your project. Processing happens entirely in your browser.

Image Tools Runs entirely in your browser

The image is processed on your device via Canvas and is never uploaded to our servers.

This tool generates PNG images in common sizes for use as a favicon — not a multi-resolution .ico file. Most modern browsers and platforms accept PNG directly.

A square image with a transparent background (PNG) is preferred

What this tool does

Generates, from one image, the full set of site icons browsers and mobile systems ask for — 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels — and hands them to you in a single ZIP.

When to use it

  • You are launching a site and need an icon for the browser tab and bookmarks.
  • You want the icon to look right when someone adds the site to a phone's home screen.
  • You have a logo and need every required size derived from it without exporting each one by hand.

How to use it

  1. Put your logo on the drop area or choose it — ideally square and high resolution.
  2. Review the previews shown for each size.
  3. Download the ZIP containing all the sizes.

A practical example

Input

A square 512×512 logo.

Output

A ZIP with six icons: 16, 32 and 48 for the browser, 180 for Apple devices, and 192 and 512 for phone app icons.

Limitations

  • The six sizes are fixed; a custom size cannot be added.
  • A non-square image is fitted into a square, so it may be cropped or padded — start from a square image for a predictable result.
  • Fine detail disappears at 16 pixels; an intricate logo will not work as a small icon however good the source is.
  • This produces the images only, not the configuration file that links them to your site.

Privacy and processing

The image is processed inside your browser through the canvas and is never uploaded.

Technical notes

  • Each size is drawn from the original image directly rather than from a smaller one, so quality loss does not compound across sizes.
