What this tool does

Adds a solid coloured border around an image in a colour you choose. The border is drawn around the picture, so the output's dimensions grow by its thickness.

When to use it

  • An image with a light background disappears into the page background it will sit on.
  • You want a framed look before publishing or printing.
  • You are assembling several images and want a clear visual separation between them.

How to use it

  1. Drag an image onto the drop area or choose one.
  2. Pick the "Color" and the border thickness.
  3. Click "Download image".

A practical example

Input

A product photo on a white background destined for a white page.

Output

The same photo inside a thin grey border that separates it clearly from the page.

Limitations

  • The border is a single solid colour — no gradients, patterns or decorative corners.
  • The thickness is the same on all four sides.
  • The output's dimensions grow by the border, which matters if you are working to a fixed size.

Privacy and processing

The border is added inside your browser and the image is never uploaded.

Technical notes

  • The border is drawn as a filled rectangle on a larger canvas, with the image drawn centred on top of it.
