What this tool does
Changes images' pixel dimensions. You type a width and height or pick a ready-made size, with an option to preserve the aspect ratio so the picture is not distorted.
When to use it
- You need a specific size demanded by a platform or an application form.
- An image is far larger than the slot it occupies on a page or in a document.
- You are preparing a profile picture or a logo at a standard size.
- You want a batch of images brought to one consistent size.
How to use it
- Drag your images onto the drop area or choose them.
- Enter "Width (px)" and "Height (px)", or pick from "Ready-made sizes".
- Leave "Preserve aspect ratio" on unless you need exact dimensions even at the cost of distortion.
- Download the resized images individually or with "Download all as ZIP".
A practical example
Input
A 4000×3000 image with a width of 1200 entered and aspect ratio preserved.
Output
A 1200×900 image at the original proportions, with nothing stretched or squashed.
Limitations
- Enlarging an image cannot add detail that is not there; the result looks soft, because pixels are interpolated rather than recovered.
- Turning off aspect-ratio preservation gives you the exact size you asked for, but the picture will look stretched or squashed.
- Invalid dimensions — zero or non-numeric — are rejected with a clear message.
- Supported formats are JPG, PNG and WebP.
Privacy and processing
Resizing happens inside your browser and no image is uploaded to our servers.
Technical notes
- Rescaling uses the browser's canvas with its built-in smoothing.
- The ready-made sizes come from the site's shared preset system, so they match the ones offered by the platform-export tools.
