Crop Video
Draw a crop box over a video's preview frame to keep only that region for the entire clip, then download the cropped result — processed locally with FFmpeg.wasm.
Video Tools Runs entirely in your browser
Your video is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Only use this tool with files you own or have the right to process.

What this tool does
Crops a video's frame by setting the horizontal and vertical starting point and then the width and height of the region you want, in pixels.
When to use it
- A screen recording where you want one window rather than the whole desktop.
- A clip with black bars at the edges you want removed.
- You want to focus on part of the frame and discard the rest.
How to use it
- Put a video on the drop area or choose it.
- Enter "From left (X)" and "From top (Y)" to set where the crop starts.
- Enter the "Width" and "Height" of the region you want.
- Click "Crop video", then "Download clip".
A practical example
Input
A 1920×1080 screen recording with X=480, Y=0, width 960 and height 1080.
Output
A 960×1080 clip showing the middle vertical third of the screen.
Limitations
- The region is entered numerically rather than dragged on a preview, so it can take a second attempt to get right.
- The crop region must fall inside the original video's dimensions.
- The crop is fixed for the whole clip and does not follow the content.
Privacy and processing
Cropping happens inside your browser and the video is never uploaded.
Technical notes
- The crop is applied during re-encoding through FFmpeg.wasm, so the output file's dimensions are exactly the cropped region's.
