Split Image into Grid
Choose a grid size (like 3×3) to slice a single image into that many equal tiles, downloadable individually or as a batch — a common technique for posting one large image across a multi-tile Instagram carousel.

What this tool does
Splits one image into several by a grid whose columns and rows you set, and gives you the pieces in a single ZIP.
When to use it
- You are posting one image across several adjoining posts in a social grid.
- You are splitting a large map or plan into parts to print across several sheets.
- You are separating a sheet with several photos scanned together into individual images.
How to use it
- Put the image on the drop area or choose it.
- Set the "Number of columns" and "Number of rows".
- Click "Split and download ZIP".
A practical example
Input
A 1200×1200 image with three columns and three rows.
Output
A ZIP with nine 400×400 images, named by their position in the grid.
Limitations
- The pieces are always equal in size; irregular cutting is not offered.
- If the dimensions do not divide evenly by the column or row count, the edge pieces differ slightly in size.
- One image at a time.
Privacy and processing
The split happens inside your browser and the image is never uploaded.
Technical notes
- Each piece is drawn from the original image directly at its own dimensions, and the pieces are bundled into a ZIP locally.
