Passport Photo Maker
Upload a photo and choose a passport, visa, or ID photo preset to crop and resize it to the exact required dimensions, then download it ready for printing or an online application. Processing happens entirely in your browser.
The image is processed on your device via Canvas — the image is never uploaded to a server.
This tool only produces an image at the required size (background, lighting, and clarity are your responsibility) — always check the exact requirements of the organization you're submitting the photo to before official use.

What this tool does
Prepares a portrait at an official size you choose, with zoom and horizontal and vertical offset controls so the face sits where it needs to within the frame.
When to use it
- You need a photo at a specific size for a passport, visa or card application.
- An online form specifies exact dimensions for a face photo.
- You want to crop an official-size portrait out of an ordinary picture.
How to use it
- Put the photo on the drop area or choose it.
- Choose the required size.
- Adjust the zoom, then the horizontal and vertical offsets, until the face sits correctly.
- Download the result.
A practical example
Input
An ordinary portrait at a 4×6 cm size with slight zoom and a vertical offset to lift the face a little.
Output
A photo at exactly that size with the face positioned where you set it.
Limitations
- This handles size and framing only. Every other official requirement — background colour, expression, glasses, head covering, lighting — is yours to meet; the tool does not check them and cannot guarantee acceptance.
- There is no face detection here; the framing is entirely manual. For automatic framing around a face, use the Face-Aware Auto Crop tool.
- To change the background to the plain white some authorities require, use the Background Replace tool.
- Output quality is bounded by the source photo; heavy zoom makes it soft.
Privacy and processing
The image is processed on your device through the canvas and is never uploaded — which matters, because official document photos are among the last things that should go to an outside service.
Technical notes
- Physical sizes are converted to pixels at a print-appropriate resolution, so the result prints at the size it claims.
