HEIC to JPG Converter
Convert HEIC/HEIF photos — the default format on modern iPhone cameras — into JPG or PNG, formats supported by virtually every app, website, and device. Conversion runs on a WebAssembly engine right in your browser, so the original photo is never uploaded anywhere.
Your photos are processed entirely on your device using an in-browser conversion engine — they're never uploaded to a server.

What this tool does
Converts HEIC images — the format iPhones capture in by default — into JPG or another common format that every device and program can open.
When to use it
- iPhone photos will not open on a Windows or Android device.
- An upload form or platform refuses HEIC files.
- You are sharing photos with people whose devices may not support the format.
- You are preparing iPhone photos for another tool that cannot read HEIC.
How to use it
- Drag your HEIC files onto the drop area or choose them — several at once is supported.
- Choose the output format.
- Wait for conversion; any file can be cancelled or retried.
- Download the converted photos individually or with "Download all as ZIP".
A practical example
Input
Twelve .heic files copied off an iPhone.
Output
Twelve JPGs that open on any device, downloadable together as a single ZIP.
Limitations
- The input must genuinely be HEIC; other files are rejected with a clear message.
- Converting to JPG is lossy, so the result is not byte-identical to the original, though the difference is usually imperceptible.
- Image metadata may not carry across to the new format in full.
- HEIC decoding is relatively heavy, so converting a large batch takes time on weaker devices.
Privacy and processing
Conversion happens entirely inside your browser and no image is uploaded to our servers.
Technical notes
- The HEIC decoder is loaded on demand only when the tool is used, so it adds no weight to the rest of the site.
- Batch processing is sequential to keep memory and interface responsiveness under control.
Frequently Asked Questions
HEIC is a newer format that isn't yet supported by every app or website, unlike JPG and PNG which work almost everywhere — this tool solves that by converting the photo locally, no extra software needed.
