Word Cloud Generator

Paste any text to generate a word cloud where more frequent words appear larger — a quick visual summary of a document's most common terms, downloadable as an image.

Text Tools Runs entirely in your browser

The text is analyzed and the cloud is generated entirely in your browser.

What this tool does

Turns text into a word cloud: a visual in which the most frequent words appear largest.

When to use it

  • Summarising survey responses or comments in one image.
  • Showing a text's themes visually on a slide.
  • Spotting the words dominating an article or a speech.
  • Making a visual element out of text for a post.

How to use it

  1. Paste a longer text into the field — an article, a report or a set of comments.
  2. Wait for the cloud to be generated.
  3. Save the resulting image.

A practical example

Input

A set of comments about a product.

Output

A word cloud showing the most frequent words in those comments at the largest sizes.

Limitations

  • A word cloud visualises frequency rather than meaning: a word repeated in a negative context appears exactly as large as a positive one.
  • Short texts do not produce a useful cloud; the tool needs a reasonably long one.
  • Common function words can dominate the cloud without indicating anything.
  • For precise figures rather than a visual impression, use the Word Frequency tool.

Privacy and processing

The text is analysed and the cloud is generated entirely in your browser.

Technical notes

  • Each word's size is proportional to its frequency, so the cloud is a direct representation of the numbers rather than an artistic arrangement.
