Extract Dates from Text
The Extract Dates tool scans any text you paste and pulls out every date it finds in common shapes (like 2026-09-20, September 20, 2026, or 20/09/2026), removes duplicates, and gives you a one-click button to copy the whole list. The tool recognizes common patterns rather than being a full calendar parser — for slash-separated dates it can't be certain whether the order is day/month or month/day, and says so honestly rather than guessing wrong. Useful for reviewing a contract or a long document and quickly pulling out every date it mentions. All processing happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to a server.
The text is processed entirely on your device — it's never sent to a server.

A practical example
Input
A contract containing a signing date, a start date and an end date.
Output
A list of those three dates exactly as they appear in the text.
Limitations
- Date formats are many and varied; the tool catches the common ones and does not guarantee catching every possible form.
- Dates written out fully in words may not be caught as reliably.
- It extracts without interpreting: it does not identify which is a start and which an end, and does not normalise them to one format.
- An ambiguous format where day and month order differ is extracted as written without resolving its meaning.
Privacy and processing
The text is scanned on your device and is never sent to a server.
Technical notes
- Dates are shown as they appear rather than in a normalised format, so you can check them in their original context.
