QR & Barcode Scanner
Point your camera at a QR code or barcode, or upload a photo containing one, to instantly decode its contents — scanning happens entirely on your device, with nothing sent to a server.
The code is read entirely on your device — from an image or the camera — nothing is sent to a server.
This tool reads QR codes and common barcode types (Code 128, EAN, UPC, and more) with the same engine, so there's no need for a separate tool per format.

What this tool does
Reads QR codes and barcodes from an image you upload or directly from your device's camera, showing the decoded value with an option to open a link.
When to use it
- A code in an image or screenshot you cannot scan with a camera.
- Reading a code without installing an app.
- Checking that a code you generated actually scans.
- Reading a product barcode to see its value.
How to use it
- Choose "From image" and add the picture, or "From camera" and start scanning.
- Read the detected value.
- Use "Open link" if the value is a URL.
A practical example
Input
A screenshot containing a QR code.
Output
The value embedded in the code shown as text, with a button to open it if it is a link.
Limitations
- Camera scanning needs browser permission; declining prevents that mode.
- A blurry image, a cropped code or strong glare may not read.
- Do not open a link from a code you do not trust: a code does not reveal its destination before scanning, which is a common fraud technique — read the shown link before tapping it.
Privacy and processing
Reading happens entirely inside your browser: the image is not uploaded and the camera stream is never sent to a server.
Technical notes
- Showing the value as text before opening it is deliberate, because it is what lets you check a link's destination before visiting it.
