Barcode Generator
Type a value and pick a barcode format — Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, and others — to generate a scannable barcode image, downloadable for labels, inventory, or printing.
Productivity Tools Runs entirely in your browser
The barcode is generated entirely on your device — nothing is sent to a server.
Accepts almost any text or numbers — the most common format for shipping and warehousing.
What this tool does
Generates a barcode in a format you choose from a value you enter, validating that the value is legal for that format, downloadable as a PNG.
When to use it
- Putting a barcode on a product or a shelf.
- Numbering assets or files in an archive.
- Preparing inventory labels.
- Testing a barcode reader.
How to use it
- Choose the "Barcode type".
- Enter the "Value" — check the hint below the field for what the format accepts.
- Click "Download barcode PNG".
A practical example
Input
A numeric value in a standard retail barcode format.
Output
A barcode image that prints and scans in any reader supporting that format.
Limitations
- Each barcode format has rules about digit count and permitted characters, and an invalid value is rejected with a message pointing at the hint — which is better than generating a barcode nothing can read.
- A barcode printed at low resolution or very small will not scan; test before printing in quantity.
- This generates the symbol and does not verify the value is registered in any global numbering system.
Privacy and processing
The barcode is generated entirely on your device and the value is never sent to a server.
Technical notes
- Validation runs before generation, so you do not end up with printed labels no device can read.
