Prayer Times Calculator

Enter a location (or use your device's coordinates) and a calculation method to get accurate Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayer times for any date — computed locally using standard astronomical formulas.

Islamic Tools Runs entirely in your browser

The calculation happens entirely on your device — your coordinates (if you use them) are never sent to a server.

Times are calculated astronomically using the selected method, and may differ by a few minutes from the officially announced local times. For important religious occasions, check your local official source.

What this tool does

Calculates the six daily prayer times for your location — Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha — using a calculation method and Asr school you choose.

When to use it

  • Travelling somewhere whose times you do not know.
  • Wanting approximate times without installing an app.
  • Comparing the different calculation methods.
  • Planning your day around the times.

How to use it

  1. Enter the city, or use the location button to let the browser determine where you are.
  2. Choose the calculation method used in your region.
  3. Choose the Asr school: the majority position or the Hanafi one.
  4. Read the six times.

A practical example

Input

A location with a calculation method and Asr school selected.

Output

The six times for that day at that location under the chosen method.

Limitations

  • Computed times are approximate and can differ by a few minutes from official local announcements, which may follow a different calculation method or local convention. This is not an invented result — it is the same published method used across the industry — but it is not a substitute for an official local source for religious observance.
  • The calculation method particularly affects Fajr and Isha, and methods can differ by several minutes.
  • The Asr school changes the Asr time noticeably, so choose the one you follow.
  • Very high latitudes have special cases that ordinary calculation does not resolve.

Privacy and processing

The calculation runs on your device. If you use location detection the browser asks your permission, and your coordinates are used locally without being sent to our servers.

Technical notes

  • The calculation uses the published solar-position formulas — solar declination and the equation of time, then an hour-angle formula per prayer — accurate to within about a minute, the same order of accuracy prayer-time apps generally advertise.
