Keyword Density Checker
Paste page content or an article to see the density (percentage of total words) of every word and common phrase — a quick sanity check for keyword stuffing or under-optimization before publishing.
The text is analyzed entirely on your device — nothing is sent to a server.
Keyword density is only a directional signal, not a guarantee of a better search ranking.

What this tool does
Analyses text and reports how often phrases occur and at what density, at a phrase length you choose, so you can see what actually dominates your writing.
When to use it
- Reviewing an article before publishing to see what dominates it.
- Confirming your main subject is genuinely present in the text.
- Spotting excessive repetition of a particular word.
- Analysing a competitor's text to understand its focus.
How to use it
- Choose the "Phrase length" in words.
- Paste the article text into the field.
- Read the table: the phrase, its count and its density.
A practical example
Input
A thousand-word article at a phrase length of one word.
Output
A table of the most frequent words with their counts and their percentage of the total word count.
Limitations
- Keyword density is only a directional signal, not a guarantee of a better search ranking. Search engines moved past density-based assessment many years ago.
- Stuffing keywords to raise the density damages the text and the reader, and may be treated as a negative practice.
- Common function words usually top the list without carrying meaning.
- The analysis covers only the text you paste, not your page's titles and tags.
Privacy and processing
The text is analysed entirely on your device and nothing is sent to a server.
Technical notes
- Changing the phrase length reveals different patterns: two- and three-word phrases are usually far more indicative of a text's subject than single words.
