What this tool does
Combines several images into a single image arranged in a grid — a contact sheet — for viewing or printing all at once.
When to use it
- You are showing a client a set of photos in one file rather than sending them separately.
- You are archiving a shoot with one overview sheet that summarises it.
- You want an overview of a folder of images without opening them one by one.
How to use it
- Put several images on the drop area or choose them — more than one, in JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Remove any you do not want, or clear all and start again.
- Click "Generate contact sheet and download".
A practical example
Input
Twelve photos from a shoot.
Output
A single image holding all twelve as thumbnails in a regular grid.
Limitations
- Images are scaled down to fit the grid, so fine detail does not survive in the result.
- The order follows the order you added them in.
- Too many images makes each thumbnail too small to be useful.
Privacy and processing
All the images you add are drawn onto the sheet inside your browser, and none of them is uploaded to our servers.
Technical notes
- The grid calculation is shared with the image splitter and the sprite-sheet tool, so layout behaves consistently across them.
