What this tool does

Converts the numerals inside text between Eastern Arabic digits (٠١٢٣) and Western digits (0123), in either direction, leaving the rest of the text untouched.

When to use it

  • Text with Eastern digits going into a system that accepts only Western ones.
  • A document whose numeral style you want consistent.
  • Data copied from an Arabic source that will be processed programmatically.
  • Text you want displayed with Eastern digits for an audience that prefers them.

How to use it

  1. Choose the "Target numeral system", or use "Swap direction".
  2. Paste your text into the "Input text" field.
  3. Read the result, which updates as you type.

A practical example

Input

A sentence containing a price and a date in Western digits, converting to Eastern.

Output

The same sentence with its letters unchanged and only its numerals converted.

Limitations

  • The conversion touches numerals only and leaves the rest of the text alone.
  • Numerals inside URLs and code are converted too if they appear in the text, which can break a link or a snippet — check the output if your text contains either.
  • The tool does not distinguish a number in a sentence from one inside a technical identifier.

Privacy and processing

The conversion runs on your device and your text is never transmitted.

Technical notes

  • Each digit is replaced by its counterpart in the other system, so the numeric value never changes.
