Working Days Calculator

Pick a start and end date to count only the working days (weekdays) between them, automatically excluding weekends — useful for project deadlines and delivery estimates.

Calculators Runs entirely in your browser

All calculations happen on your device — nothing is sent to a server.

What this tool does

Counts the working days between two dates, excluding the weekend days you nominate, with the option to add public holidays by date.

When to use it

  • Estimating a delivery date in working days rather than calendar days.
  • Working out actual working days for pay or leave.
  • Planning a schedule that accounts for holidays.
  • Finding how many working days remain until a deadline.

How to use it

  1. Pick the "From date" and "To date".
  2. Set the "Weekend days" your country or employer uses.
  3. Add "Additional holidays", one date per line, if there are any.
  4. Click "Calculate working days" and read the four figures.

A practical example

Input

A one-month period, with a Friday–Saturday weekend and one public holiday.

Output

The working-day count, alongside the total calendar days, the number of weekend days and the number of holidays excluded.

Limitations

  • Weekend days differ between countries, which is why they are set by hand rather than assumed.
  • Public holidays are entered manually; the tool does not know any country's holidays automatically.
  • A holiday that already falls on a weekend is not counted twice.

Privacy and processing

The dates and the holidays you enter are counted on your device and never leave it.

Technical notes

  • The breakdown shown — calendar days, weekend days, holidays — lets you check the arithmetic rather than trusting a single number.
