What this tool does
Converts a date and time between time zones using the time-zone data built into your browser.
When to use it
- Arranging a meeting with a team in another country.
- Finding when a live broadcast starts in your time.
- Working out a deadline set in someone else's time zone.
- Checking the timing of a flight or an international appointment.
How to use it
- Enter the "Date and time".
- Choose the "From" time zone.
- Read the equivalent time in the target zone.
A practical example
Input
A meeting at three in the afternoon in one zone.
Output
The corresponding time in the other zone, using the actual offset on that date.
Limitations
- The conversion accounts for daylight saving because it is computed for a specific date rather than a fixed offset — which is why the gap between two cities can change with the month.
- It uses your browser's data; a very old browser may not know a recent change to a zone's rules.
- It converts a given time and does not propose a time that suits both parties.
Privacy and processing
The conversion happens entirely in your browser, using its built-in timezone data, with no server contact.
Technical notes
- Relying on the browser's time-zone data means historical daylight-saving rules are applied automatically according to the date you enter.
