Random Number Generator
Set a minimum, maximum, and quantity, choose whether duplicates are allowed, and generate random integers using the browser's Web Crypto API — never the weaker Math.random(). Useful for raffles, sampling, or test data.
Developer Tools Runs entirely in your browser
The numbers are generated entirely on your device using a cryptographically secure generator (Web Crypto), and are never sent to any server.
What this tool does
Generates random numbers within a range you set, in the quantity you ask for, with an option to allow or forbid repeats.
When to use it
- Running a draw among numbered entrants.
- Picking a random sample from a numbered list.
- Needing random numbers for a test or a game.
- Choosing a winner from a known number of participants.
How to use it
- Set the minimum and maximum of the range.
- Set the quantity you need.
- Turn "Allow duplicates" on, or leave it off for unique numbers.
- Click "Generate".
A practical example
Input
A range of 1 to 100, quantity 5, no duplicates.
Output
Five different numbers within the range, none repeating.
Limitations
- Forbidding duplicates requires a range large enough for the quantity; asking for ten unique numbers from a range of five is impossible and is rejected.
- The numbers are not saved; close the page and they are gone.
- To pick an item from a list of names rather than numbers, use the Random Picker Wheel.
Privacy and processing
Generation happens entirely inside your browser and no numbers are sent to a server.
Technical notes
- Results are genuinely random on every run and cannot be reproduced, so this does not suit a case requiring the same output from a given seed.
