What this tool does
Generates the Open Graph tags that control how your page appears when shared on social platforms: title, description, image and URL.
When to use it
- Publishing an article and wanting an attractive image and text when it is shared.
- A link that shares with no image or the wrong title.
- Wanting a share title different from the page title.
- Preparing a campaign page that will be shared widely.
How to use it
- Fill in the fields: title, description, image URL and page URL.
- Copy the "Generated code" into the document head.
A practical example
Input
A title, description and image URL for an article.
Output
Ready Open Graph tags, so the link shares as a card carrying the image, title and description.
Limitations
- Platforms cache a link's data; changing the tags after the first share may not show until you ask the platform to re-read the link.
- Each platform has a preferred image size, and an image that is too small may be ignored entirely.
- The image URL must be absolute and publicly reachable; a relative or protected URL will not appear.
- Some platforms use their own tags in addition to Open Graph.
Privacy and processing
The share tags are built on your device, and neither your copy nor your image URL is sent anywhere.
Technical notes
- This generates the tags and neither fetches your page nor verifies that the image URL works.
