Loan Amortization Schedule Generator
Creates a full month-by-month amortization schedule for the entire term of any fixed-rate loan or mortgage, showing for every month: the payment amount, the portion going to principal, the portion going to interest, and the remaining balance after that payment — unlike the Loan Calculator and Mortgage Calculator, which only show a summary (monthly payment and total interest). Download the complete schedule as a ready CSV or JSON file for use in a spreadsheet or any other app. For informational purposes only, not an actual offer from any lender.
All calculations happen on your device — no financial amounts are sent to a server.

What this tool does
Generates a loan's repayment schedule month by month: how much of each payment goes to principal, how much to interest, and the balance remaining afterwards — downloadable as CSV or JSON.
When to use it
- Wanting each payment broken down rather than just the instalment figure.
- Planning an early settlement and needing the balance at a particular month.
- Documenting a repayment schedule for accounting or personal records.
- Understanding why most of your early payments go to interest.
How to use it
- Enter the "Loan amount", "Annual interest rate %" and "Loan term (years)".
- Click "Generate schedule".
- Read the monthly payment, total paid and total interest, then the "Full monthly schedule".
- Use "Download CSV" or "Download JSON" to keep it.
A practical example
Input
A loan at a given amount, rate and term.
Output
A table with a row per month: the month number, the payment, the principal portion, the interest portion and the remaining balance.
The schedule shows what the instalment figure hides: in the early months the larger share of your payment goes to interest, shifting gradually towards principal as the balance falls.
Limitations
- The schedule is for information only and is not financial advice or an actual offer from any lender.
- It assumes a fixed rate and regular payments with no early settlement or missed payments.
- It excludes fees, insurance and early-settlement penalties.
- The amount and term must be greater than zero.
Privacy and processing
All calculations happen on your device and no financial amounts are sent to a server, including when the CSV and JSON files are produced.
Technical notes
- Each month is computed from the balance left by the previous one, so the schedule is exactly cumulative rather than an evenly distributed estimate.
